CV: Delcia McNeil has been working within the field of complementary therapies for 27 years. She is a UKCP registered psychotherapist (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and has been a registered healer for 26 years. For 10 years she ran the Rowan School for healing & personal growth with her colleague, Kate Williams MacKenzie. In 2000 her book Bodywork Therapies for Women was published, and that year she also produced a highly successful CD Opening to Self Healing. Delcia is passionate about chakras, and has been working with them since she was first introduced to them in 1981.

Anatomy and Physiology for Complementary Practitioners

CV: Jan Bradshaw trained as a vet at the University of Bristol, and whilst there she gained an interrelated honours degree in Anatomical Science. Since graduating, she has worked in practice, in education, and as a diagnostic pathologist. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2007. Additionally, Jan has trained in therapeutic massage, as a Shamanic practitioner, and has studied other methods of healing, including crystal healing.
CV: Anna McLaren holds a BA (Hons) in Zoology from Magdalen College, University of Oxford, a diploma in McTimony Chiropractic, and a Moxite Practitioner’s Certificate from the Moxifoundation, Israel. She has worked as a McTimony and Bioenergy practitioner in private practice, and served as both Deputy Senior Practical Tutor and Clinic Supervisor at McTimony College of Chiropractic. More recently she has developed her own system, known as Aura Matrix Body Alignment, drawing from the disciplines she has trained in and her own experience. Anna is currently the Chair of the Association for Classical Manipulation.
Course Description: Recent legislation means that all recently qualified complementary therapists, including healers, must hold a certificate in A&P. This is a unique, interesting and entertaining 2-year course, devised specifically for healers. The first year gives full certificate qualification necessary for complementary therapies. The second year focuses on recent scientific understanding that explains what we do, such as cellular communication, and examines the anatomy of the chakras in depth. We have had A&P teachers from the local college on the course to give them a better understanding of what they are teaching.
Duration: Two years, three full days per academic term (once a month), plus examination and presentation days. Next course commences September 2011

Counselling Skills for Complementary Therapists

CV: Clare Vause is a Registered Nurse with 24 years experience. Clare has a holistic approach to health care, and has trained both as a counsellor, holding a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and also has a certificate in Holistic Massage. She has worked in health care in the UK, Romania and USA, in acute and rehabilitation settings as well as palliative care, and is involved in the support and clinical supervision of healthcare staff. As a teacher, she has taught on the counselling training at Wiltshire College, and her practical experience includes primary healthcare, work with the families of brain injured patients at the Mineral Hospital, Bath, and volunteer counselling for Off the Record.
Description: Counselling Skills (or Listening Skills) is now a requirement for all recently qualified complementary therapists. This qualification course is open to all, and looks at counselling in context of the field of healing and complementary therapy.

CV: Linda has over seventeen years experience in the complementary health care field. Originally an artist and craftsman, in 1993 she qualified in holistic massage with the Massage Training Institute, then went on to complete a two and a half year training in subtle-energy healing with the McNeil School of Healing, and a one year counselling skills course with Spectrum, a centre for humanistic therapy. In 2001 she was made an associate teacher of the Rowan School of Healing and from this time started teaching meditation as a tool for self-development and stress management. In 2006 Linda expanded her practice further and qualified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming with the Optimum Health Clinic, Harley Street, London. After completing her diploma in clinical hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, coaching and Emotional Freedom Technique, she joined the clinic in 2008 to run their meditation department and work as a psychology practitioner. Linda’s groundbreaking Meditation Group for People with ME, developed with the clinic, reaches people all over the UK and abroad via interactive conference call.
Description: Learn to meditate in a small and friendly group, on a course of eight fortnightly evening sessions, lasting one hour thirty minutes each. As well as learning the basic Resourcefulness techniques, we will explore other aspects of meditation using creative visualization, affirmations and much more! There is plenty of time for each student to exchange feedback and receive support. A meditation manual is provided. Resourcefulness Meditation is a synthesis of Eastern philosophy and Western psychology. It has a contemporary approach that centres on the relationship between the body and mind; and is in tune with current advances in the fields of psychology, science and energy medicine. One to one sessions are available.
